It’s sad that Jessops has closed, especially so soon after going into administration. Like a lot of retailers trying to compete against the internet is difficult, although it did annoy me that their own prices were cheaper on their own site than they were in store.
However I bought quite a bit of equipment over that last few years. Not because it was cheaper, but because it was convenient for me to go to the shop. In fact, I bought my Nikon D40 off them. Someone had written on the forum at work, that he had bought one for his Dad, and I phoned up the local shop, they had it in stock so I got in that afternoon. And there started my expensive love affair with all things digital photography!! Thanks Jessops!!
