I don’t know what an ND filter is but love this image. My brother used to work there – I remember the Fawley Flame.
Hello. An ND filter reduces how much light enters the camera. So it allows you to have the shutter opener long. In this case it was 30 seconds. Then you can blur movement such as in clouds or the sea.
