Where the D40 lets me down

In a previous post I mentioned the problem with the D40.  In every other respects it’s brilliant, but at “high” ISOs it does tend to suffer.  This photo was taken at 1600.  But I like the photo! The noise was so unfixable, I ended up adding grain to the picture to push it the other way.

What’s in the attic?

This is a blast(er) from the past.  Clearing out my attic, I came across my old Games Workshop Warhammer 40k figures.  I used to paint these – in fact I spent more time painting than playing the game.   This is from the my Space Marine combat group.
