We’re always keen to add plants to the garden that will encourage bees, hover flies and other pollinators.

What’s in the attic?

This is a blast(er) from the past.  Clearing out my attic, I came across my old Games Workshop Warhammer 40k figures.  I used to paint these – in fact I spent more time painting than playing the game.   This is from the my Space Marine combat group.

Young blackbird

This was wonderful.  A young blackbird sat on our fence for a good while, allowing me to take some photos.  In fact, I think he was posing a bit.

edit:  It turned out to be a blackbird, not a thrush. ID skills need improving.
