First weeks of BTEC

I’ve been attending the Level 2 in Photography at the local college for the past three weeks.  It looks like it will be a good course with a wide range of topics.  As well as three hours on a Wednesday evening that are Saturday morning “location” shoots at various places around Hampshire.  There are also three optional trips that I will hopefully be able to go on. I think it is the right level for me.  I know enough about my camera and accessories to understand what’s what, so I can concentrate on improving my technique.

After the introduction on the frist week, we have covered depth of field, and different focal lengths.  Both of these I have knowledge about but I’ve still picked up things I haven’t really thought about.

One of the things I have started to do more though is manual focus.  It’s amazing what using a tripod will actually make you do.

I’ve attached a couple of pictures I was working on for the task on depth of field.  I’ve come up with different ideas since then.
